Conti Federal Achieves Exceptional Results in the Joint Surveillance Voluntary Assessment (JSVA) Program Set by the Department of Defense

Conti Federal’s perfect JSVA assessment reflects its commitment to meeting DoD cybersecurity requirements

Conti Federal Services, LLC successfully passed a Joint Surveillance Voluntary Assessment (JSVA) meeting all requirements outlined by the Department of Defense (DoD). Following a comprehensive review of the evidence, including the updated System Security Plan, the Defense Industrial Base Cybersecurity Assessment Center (DIBCAC) confirmed the company’s compliance with DFARS clauses 252.204-7012 and 252.204-7021. The 32 CFR Part 170 Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) final rule was recently announced, and Conti Federal’s assessment is a testament to their proactive and thorough approach to meeting DoD cybersecurity requirements.

The CMMC Program assesses security information at three levels according to the government data accessed by the contractor or subcontractor. As one of the first contractors to complete the JSVA program prior to the rule’s effective date, Conti Federal achieved a perfect score of 110 on a Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) Defense Industrial Base Cybersecurity Assessment Center (DIBCAC) High Assessment. Based on the Safeguarding Covered Defense Information and Cyber Incident Reporting requirements, DFARS clause 252.204-7012, this assessment measures how a company safeguards information when it resides on or transits through contractor information systems and reports cyber incidents that affect the network.

According to the DoD, contractors and subcontractors will soon be required to meet the CMMC standard to handle Controlled Unclassified Information and to achieve a specific CMMC level as a condition of contract award.

“Meeting the CMMC 2.0 requirements is a significant step forward for Conti Federal,” said Anthony Blommel, Chief Administrative Officer of Conti Federal. “We are proud of this significant achievement. Meeting this standard will ensure protection against potential cyberattacks while preparing our company for continued success when pursuing future contracts with the Department of Defense.”

Over the last 119 years, Conti Federal has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality work and exceeding client expectations through our awarded construction projects. Today, Conti Federal is one of the top federal contractors serving the U.S. Government worldwide. These exceptional results from the JSVA program are a perfect example of how Conti Federal is doing what it takes to deliver mission-critical projects in support of our nation’s defense.

More about the CMMC Program

The CMMC Program is a critical initiative by the Department of Defense (DoD) to enhance the protection of sensitive unclassified information within the Defense Industrial Base (DIB). Designed to align with the DoD’s existing information security requirements, the program ensures contractors and subcontractors meet rigorous cybersecurity standards for safeguarding Federal Contract Information (FCI) and Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI). CMMC requirements will be phased in over a three-year, four-phase implementation plan, eventually making certification a prerequisite for certain DoD contracts. This structured approach assures the DoD that its contractors are equipped to protect sensitive data on nonfederal systems.
