Project includes conversion of Building 2860 to secure area

Conti Federal Services, a leading federal construction and design-build firm specializing in military and secure construction, has been awarded a $10.2M contract by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Japan District for the conversion of Building 2860 to a secure area at Camp Hansen in Okinawa, Japan.

Camp Hansen, a United States Marine Corps base that houses approximately 6,000 Marines, is situated near the northern shore of Kin Bay on Okinawa and was built on the former Chimu Airfield in 1965. The building for renovation, Building 2860, was originally constructed in 1995 by the Government of Japan. The 21,900 square foot building will be converted to accommodate 2,600 square feet of ICD 705 compliant spaces, including an office, conference room and two classrooms.

We’re eager to bring our expertise to the region and look forward to delivering a successful project for our client.”

The expected completion date for this project is October 2026.
