Conti Federal Exceeds Small Business Goals for Fiscal Year 2024

The company reports that 71.3% of its subcontracts were awarded to small businesses

Conti Federal Services, a leading federal construction and design-build firm specializing in military construction and critical infrastructure, is proud to report that 71.3% of its subcontract awards went to small businesses during the 2024 U.S. Federal Government fiscal year, far exceeding the goal put forth by the Department of Defense (DoD) of 28%.

Conti Federal’s company policy is to afford small, small disadvantaged, women-owned, veteran-owned, service disabled veteran-owned, and HUBZone businesses the maximum practicable opportunity to participate in the performance of contracts awarded to the company. It is through this commitment that the company has been able to meet and exceed the DoD small business goals several years in a row.

“Starting as a small business ourselves, our company recognizes the importance and benefit of affording small businesses the opportunity to contribute to our projects,” states Meredith Koons, Conti Federal Director of Marketing and Small Business Programs. “Our small business partnerships continue to set us apart. It is through their aptitude and commitment that we are able to deliver mission-critical projects to our clients, no matter the location.”

The company is only required to track its small business participation for projects based in the United States. However, Conti Federal partners with small businesses globally as they are actively working on projects in Europe, the Middle East, and the Pacific.

“We have a strong culture of partnering with small businesses. This philosophy permeates all areas of our business and across all project locations,” Koons continues.
