Conti Federal Awarded $65.8M Contract to Construct Secure Site Annexes in Baumholder, Germany

Project will support relocation of US Special Operations Command unites to Smith Barracks

Conti Federal Services, a leading federal construction and engineering firm specializing in military construction and critical infrastructure, has been awarded a $65.8M contract by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Europe District for the construction of Secure Site Annexes in Baumholder, Germany.

The contract includes  the construction of four Secure Site Annexes to provide operational facilities for the relocation of US Special Operations Forces (SOF) Command units to Smith Barracks at US Army Garrison Baumholder, Germany. The new facilities will assist in the planning and execution of SOF in the U.S. Europe Command (USEUCOM) and U.S. Africa Command (USAFRICOM) Area of Responsibility (AOR).

The special construction includes all associated single combined secure storage laydown area, access control inspections sites, and scanning areas at each Annex facility. Primary construction includes foundations, concrete structures, architectural works, mechanical and electrical utilities, telecommunications and site drainage for the SOF Command to ensure they can meet strategic mission goals.

The expected completion date for this project is January 2028.

Conti Federal is currently supporting the USACE Europe district on a design-build contract to construct a facility in Sterrebeek Annex near Brussels, Belgium and is currently on two Multiple Award Task Order Contracts to support construction in Greece as well as Belgium, Netherlands, and Germany.
