Conti Federal Donates Hygiene Kits to American Red Cross

The team assembled more than 1,000 kits for National Volunteer Month

The Conti Federal team recently got together to assemble more than 1,000 hygiene kits to donate to the American Red Cross of Central Florida. The kits include basic necessities such as soap, toothbrushes, socks, and more.

Conti Federal partnered with Clean the World to source the various components of the kit. Clean the World is a social enterprise that collects and recycles discarded soap and plastic amenity bottles from participating hospitality partners and repackages and redistributes them to persons in need. Through their Global Recycling Program, Clean the World is diverting soap from landfills and safely manufacturing new ones.

“Conti Federal wholeheartedly believes in giving back to the communities in which we work and live,” shares Conti Federal Director of Marketing, Meredith Koons. “In fact, we provide every full-time employee with 16 hours of Volunteer Time Off so even our remote employees can give back to their communities. This year, our Orlando headquarters decided to donate to the American Red Cross for National Volunteer Month activity because our missions are so closely aligned.”

The American Red Cross is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to prevent and alleviate human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers. This includes Disaster Relief efforts and supporting our military. Each year, the Red Cross responds to about 65,000 disasters each year and provides more than 510,000 services to service members, veterans, and their families.

Conti Federal is a leading construction and engineering company for the U.S. federal government with a focus on military construction and critical infrastructure, disaster response and recovery as well as environmental remediation.

“This activity allowed us to support so many great causes – from supporting our military and those affected by disaster to reducing our environmental impact. It truly was a great event to support our local community,” expressed Koons.
